Fabric Roses (sort of a tutorial....)

I was asked to share the fabric roses "how to".... well they
couldn't be easier.

I thought I would whip something up to cover an ugly green
plant container and make it cute.
I picked up some baby tears (they make me think of my Mom)
I think that plant was $1.50

 I grabbed my supplies;
burlap
ribbon
glue gun
scissors and plant

I cute a long piece of my burlap to cover up the Ugly pot.
(Just put a few dabs of glue to secure it as you go.)

Then you take your ribbon, (you can use fabric as well, just cut long narrow lengths)
I don't ever measure so play around with it to get different size flowers
 Sorry for the unfocused picture.
My tripod is out in my car... it is pouring... and
I was balancing the camera between my knee and my chin... need I say more.
Back to the flower... Take your ribbon and tie a knot in the end.
(this way you have something to wrap it around)

 (again balancing my camera... )
this is pathetic...

Just start wrapping and twisting around your knot.
add glue as you go to hold it together.

wrap until you have come to the end.
put a little dab of glue on the back of your flower to
secure the end.

(and for pete sake STOP looking at my un-manicured hands....)

there you have it.

I wrapped a matching ribbon around the burlap... and put a large blop of glue
(see it dripping onto my counter...)

Put your beautiful rose into the glue blop... (Blop is a very technical term
and it is way different then a blob...)

I stuck mine on my kitchen window sill...
It is raining here in the North...

Hope you all make something with a Fabric Rosette.

You may also enjoy...

Have a Wonderful Day!
