worlds away

I got to work and watch an incredible artist on Tuesday.
I feel blessed that God has given me a view into other worlds.
far far away from my own.
I was definitely in  a different culture then I had ever experienced.

His medium is spray paint. Concrete Walls are his canvas.
I have never watched Carm paint before.
but to put it simply it was like watching a ballet.
His hands were fluid. like the can was an extension of his arm.

He was so effortless about it.

It was incredibly beautiful experience.

I was taken to the cans...
some had a rusty goodness about them that I adore.
I am thankful.
I am going to work on being more thankful for the things God is allowing me to do in my life.

Snowstradamus 2010 A Graffitti Odessy

I am very excited for our good friend Carm aka "SNOW"
He had a solo exhibit in a beautiful gallery in Hoboken,
Snowstradamus 2010
Please if you live in the metropolitan area make a day off it. Get down to see it.
It is truly inspirational. I was lucky enough to be able to attend the opening and
also cover the event.
It will be there all month and then a big closing party at the end...
I am really looking forward to that.

I think my grand total of photographs was 989. WOW.... (okay it dwindled down as I began to go
through them)  but all in all I got a lot of Fabulous shots. I am still editing. I think that I nonstop edited for about 10 hours on Monday.

I also Got to do one of my
favorite things... People watching , YAY! Love doing that. It is the most interesting thing to me
I love watching and capturing people. Come to think of it...
that may be one of my favorite subjects to Photograph,
 people.

So here it is .... My view on Snow's amazing work.
Enjoy.

and last but hardly least.... wearing heals while... Climbing up and down ladders /  kneeling down at odd angels to get good shots / standing for hours an hours..... can we all say it together... OUCH.

By the way.. I love you Carmelo. You continue to inspire me and help
push me to be a better & more complete artist.
Thank you for believing in me.
& I am so proud of you,
Being true to
who you
 are.

Photographs

I Got to go out and photograph some of our good friend "Snow's" Artwork. I have blogged about him before. He is a very talented artist. I love this new piece he has created! The colors are amazing. It is beautiful! So enjoy taking a look.

I really like the one above.

Carm & Em

I have such cooperative models : )

These last 2 were on the way home. Dom made me close the window. (It was about 20 degree's out) some people just don't understand artist..... lol

This is a church in Caldwell, NJ it is very lovely. We were sitting at a light and I looked up and it was so ethereal. I love love love the way the light is coming up from the bottom of the picture. Gradating to the dark blue of the sky. This was taken SOTC (straight out of the camera) No FLASH.

I am almost down with Maddie's little kitchen I was busy busy busy working on it last night. I even sewed up some little accessories to go with it. IT will most likely be done today after nap time. I can't wait to give it to her to play with. I have a feeling it is going to be a huge hit. And it has been fun to make it. (Dom has been helping me with the power tools needed.) More on that in the next post.

Well, Enjoy your day everyone.
