I would like the answer to be all intellectual ... 

but its not. the books that I currently can't put down are...

I took care of her dog Kuma.

She gifted me with this fab cookbook

it is all about dishes to cook in a 

9 x 13 pan! 

Loving it. 

So that is what is on my bookshelf this week.

Inspiration workshop { Vintage }

 Vintage. 

Nothing says Vintage to me like a canning Jar. 

Old, new, clear, blue. 

They conjuring up images of woman from a bygone era... 

putting up food stuffs to be able to feed their families. 

Aprons, tied on. 

Little ones by their sides. 

canning and storing up food for the winter. 

One of my favorite stories growing up, and to read to my girls was, Blueberries for Sal.

The last page of the book she is canning blueberries with her Mother. 

I always loved to look at the page and pretend I was right in the kitchen with them.

hmmm, I guess it is my Mom's fault that I am obsessed with 

canning jars.....hehe

Inspiration Workshop {Your Favorite Color}

Gussy Sews does an inspiration workshop  every thursday. 

This weeks prompt was your favorite color. 

That is a hard one for me. 

Someday's I would say green. 

To me green is fresh and clean. 

and then other day's it may be pale pink. 

Come to think of it green and pink look 

positively lovely together.
