I have been neglecting my poor little bean sprout...... i have been very busy with my photography lately so I have not had too much extra time.

I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had with them today. It is always nice to be around people who really love each other. They are a beautiful young couple. I have the honor to be photographing their wedding in Sept. I am super excited for this event. Did I mention it is on the beach??? LOVELY!

Well, I am going to get to bed it has been a looong day.

This is a little movie that I got a chance to put together for our church's Sunday School class. It was a lot of fun. After we showed the movie We gave the kids some cameras and allowed them to photograph nature. It was great. The kids were very excited and I had some fun watching them as well.
Just thought I would share it with all of you.

Have a great day.

Giving thanks

1 Thessalonians 5:18

give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Do you ever find it is hard to be thankful in all situations? I do. I shouldn't, but i do. I was reminded yesterday that you need to be thankful for even the smallest most minute details of our lives. God plans out everything. Even when we don't understand it, He does.
Yesterday I had a horrible headache. It prevented me from doing something that I had planed on doing when Maddie took her nap. I instead needed to lay down and rest. Which meant that what I needed to get done didn't. But God used that headache so that I was able to share something so special with my husband later on in the day. Praise God for my headache.
We need to remember to Praise him even when we seem to think everything is not going our way.... We need to remember that God knows the plan. We have to live by Faith, not by sight.

Felt Food

I have been bitten by a bug.... a felt food bug, that is. How cute are these. I bought a little felt and got going. I had every intention of taking these photos outside on the grass but it was raining and I couldn't wait to show you.

The Zoo

Well, we went to the Bronx Zoo yesterday.... For those of you who don't know here is a little tip, On Wednesdays it is a suggested donation... You don't have to but you could give a few dollars or whatever you want to. My Aunt Bee & I hit the road with 6 kids. 3 of mine & 3 of my sister's. we packed our lunches and brought some water. (Which we definitely needed it turned out to be 93 degrees... that is not normal for this time of year) I had one grumpy child which turned out to be from the heat... we had some complaining about " I'm sooo HOT" from all of them. But all in all it was a beautiful day.
I will never get over God's wonderful imagination.. The creatures that he created for us to look at and enjoy... each and everyone is just a work of art. Some wonderful memories were made and we got the day to spend with family. Maddie wanted to know why the Penguins don't fly? Sara told her some technical fact about Why they are not able to fly.... Maddie Replies " they need batteries?" I think that was the best part of Sara's day. She loves when Maddie says these funny little things.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

the Animals were a bit grumpy from the heat....

Aunt Bee holding Maddie so she could see the seals.

Even the Polar Bear was HOT..... don't you love his feet.

a still small voice

Psalm 27:8

My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds, "LORD, I am coming."

happy Easter

Happy Belated Easter. What a beautiful day it was to spend with our family.

With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!” (mark 15:37-39)

Art

Yesterday I had a chance to go out and shoot. I was asked to take some photographs of my friends, friends, art work. It happened to be his first gallery showing. I was happy to do it for him. WE went down to Newark to go to the show. On the drive there I was really taken back by the beauty of the city. You can see in the old building that it is a city full of a rich history. We often times do not realize the importance of smaller cities and what important roles that they do play. I have lived in close proximity to Newark, NJ my entire life. IN fact it was my forefather Matthew Canfield, who founded Newark NJ.... ( after he got kicked out of CT) I just love that... : ) I have heard many times in my life that people did all their shopping there. That they dressed in their Sunday best, white gloves and all to go downtown and shop. My Mother even purchased her wedding gown in Newark. It was the place to seen and be seen, if you will. I guess that changed quickly after the riots in the 60's. Anyway, I was never allowed to go down to Newark as a kid & teenager. But now the city is beginning to change. They are cleaning it up and I really had a chance to appreciate the beauty of the architecture yesterday.

So,
I photographed 3 very different kinds of art yesterday. Very different points of view but all art none the less. 2 were in a gallery and the other was a beautiful french gothic Cathedral from the late 1800's. The Cathedral Basilica. All in Newark, NJ. So I just wanted to share some of the images I got to capture. Enjoy.
